Active reaches finals for SME of the Year Award

This month Active was named one of the seven finalists for the Thames Valley Business Magazine Award's SME of the Year 2017! Joining Active in the category is CitNOW, Diamond Logistics, Firefly Human Capital, Hawkins Group of Companies, IPRO Solutions and McFarlane Telfer.

The SME of the Year Award, sponsored by James Cowper Kreston, celebrates small to medium companies with a turnover of between £500,000 and £10M, based within the Thames Valley area. Companies are recognised by their growth over the last two years as well their current business performance and potential growth for years ahead. Business innovation, contribution to the industry and approach to CSR are also factors taken into consideration by the judges.

The last couple of years have shown Active go from strength to strength and expand significantly in both turnover, employees and the range of services it offers to its clients. Having started as primarily a relocation firm, Active now offers the entire spectrum of workplace services and has rapid growth plans for the coming years.

Active director, Adrian Powell, commented: “To be considered as a finalist for the award was a lovely surprize. I think that when you're immersed in growing a business you rarely get the opportunity to take a step back and consider what you have achieved and how far you've come. The whole process has given us this opportunity and being a finalist is incredibly exciting. We will keep our fingers crossed because to win and receive recognition for all our passion, commitment and hard work would be amazing. We hope to bring the award back and celebrate with our team on Friday 17th November!"

“As a firm dedicated to helping owner-managed/privately-owned businesses achieve their ambitions, James Cowper Kreston is once again delighted to be sponsoring the award for the SME of the Year. Previous finalists and winners of SME of the Year are testament to the fact that the Thames Valley region is the home for some of the UK's most innovative and exciting SME businesses. We encourage the Thames Valley business community to really get involved with these awards so we may acknowledge their contribution and recognise their success," commented Robert Holland, managing partner, James Cowper Kreston.
